Who we are

Welcome to Virginia Sourdough, a cottage microbakery nestled in the heart of Nokesville, Virginia. We specialize in education workshops and crafting small batch sourdough breads and delightful baked treats, all naturally leavened and made with love. 

Jane Dough, our sourdough starter, was born in April 2020 and has been thriving since. As a Registered Dietitian, Owner and Baker Angie knows the benefits of naturally leavened products. Not only does the fermentation process bring rich, complex flavors; it also provides an opportunity for prebiotics and probiotics to thrive (hello easier digestion and improved gut health!)

Virginia Sourdough takes pride in supporting our local community by sourcing ingredients from nearby farms when possible (eggs, honey).

  • Perfect for bridal weekends, team building, retreats, realtor gifts to clients, double date nights in

    • Minimum 4 students

    • Travel fee applied for locations over 40 miles of Nokesville, Virginia

  • Virginia Sourdough offers naturally leavened, organic baked goods at pop-up events in our local community.
